Great Exuma Dining
In terms of dining establishments, Great Exuma is pretty limited in their choices. Unless you’re at an all-inclusive report, it can be tricky finding a place to eat. Keep in mind, most all of the dining establishments are extremely casual! No need for heals or wedges! Here are some of the restaurants we went to during our stay.
Palapa Grill
Palapa Grill is located at Grand Isle, which is where we stayed during our trip. Because of this, we found ourselves eating here more than anywhere else. The environment had incredible views of the pool and ocean. The menu had a variety of options to pick from, ranging from pasta dishes to fresh fish and meat. Service was rather slow from time to time, but we weren’t in much of a hurry. We dined here frequently for the convenience and were never tired of it!

La Fourchette
This was our favorite local gem on the island. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we came twice! La Fourchette is a small restaurant with French-influenced food. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely make reservations for this one – it was pretty busy since it is one of the few nicer restaurants on the island.

Latitudes
We were the first dinner guests to arrive at Latitudes for the evening! We had a great view of the sunset from our table. There was a limited menu, but they had several interesting local options to select from.
We all enjoyed our meals! Latitudes is definitely on the smaller side and service was a bit slow (running on island time!). Another heads up, they run out of their menu items quickly throughout the night- so if you plan on stopping by, try to get there early!

Shoreline Bar
Enjoy local eats made fresh daily at Shoreline. Shoreline has a a mom and pop feel. They only have two servers who take care of everything – from serving to bar tending to bussing tables! It is located right along Cocoplum beach, so we had a great view of the ocean during our meal. We had fun sitting at the bar as we ate our dinner and chatted with the owner. Shoreline was charming, old school, and sweet!

Driftwood Cafe
We loved coming to Driftwood to get our coffee fix in the morning. This sweet cafe is located in downtown near the (very few) shops! We relaxed and enjoyed our lattes in their patio garden area.

Lighthouse Ice Cream
Sweet tooth? Cool off and grab an ice cream cone at The Lighthouse! This colorful ice cream parlor is located right on the water. Perfect for enjoying a cookies and cream cone with an incredible view. Watch out- they melt fast!
