Four Mile Beach

FOUR MILE BEACH TIPS

        • Just a short walk from town, 4 Mile Beach is a fun place to spend the day!
        • Typically, the beach is safe for swimming and there is an active lifeguard on duty
        • There is access to public restrooms and two nearby restaurants to enjoy!
        • There are a few concession stands with activities/equipment  available (i.e: paddle boards, kayaks, umbrellas, chairs, etc.)

Wavelength Reef Charters

      • Experience the Great Barrier Reef up close and personal with a Wavelength Charters snorkel trip. Here are some highlights from our time snorkeling with Wavelength…
        • We boarded the charter boat and traveled 1.5 hours to Opal Reef, where we made three different snorkel stops
        • We were surprised to see so many untouched coral gardens while being surrounded by hundreds of fish. It truly felt like we were in Finding Nemo!
        • We had several turtle sightings at our third stop
        • We were lucky enough to see a pod of humpback whales on our way back to shore!
        • Overall perfect day out on the water!

IMPORTANT TIPS:

  • During the first part of the trip, the waves are pretty rough and the boat rocks quite a bit. Even if you aren’t normally prone to sea sickness, I highly suggest you take anti-nausea medication prior to your snorkel trip!
  • No need to pack food – Wavelength provides a hearty lunch onboard during the snorkel trip.
